Vintage Restoration

You are here:

Nothing gives us more satisfaction than restoring a vintage vehicle to its former glory and giving it a whole new lease of life.

Restoration means returning a vehicle to its original specification, rebuilding it exactly the way its manufacturer first assembled it.

All the mechanicals will be meticulously surveyed, checked and restored before we begin on the chassis detailing and exterior bodywork, which can involve full front-end transformations and full-body re-frames. We then turn our attention to the interior, looking at everything from the flooring to seating right the way through to vintage signage. We’ll look at the brightworks and then, of course, the paintwork, delivering a stunning shine so that each vintage vehicle looks, feels and sounds just like it did the first day it left the factory and rolled onto the road.

Our lead carpenter delivers exceptional standards by applying bygone skills to restore wooden frames; the same skills that were used to create these amazing vehicles in the first place.

Our workshop is fully-fitted with specialist tools and equipment which, coupled with our experience, skills and passion for what we do, ensures we bring out the very best in these vehicles.

We will carefully grind out any rot, re-work the metalwork where required and conduct full alignment checks to ensure a seamless finish, all the while applying scrutinous attention to detail.

While we won’t hold onto a vehicle for any longer than we need to, proper restoration work can take many hours, and we absolutely refuse to compromise on quality or take any short cuts.
It’s not enough to make a vintage vehicle look good, we try hard to ensure the methods and materials used retain its authenticity, preserving its heritage and vintage status for many years to come.

We care so much about the end result, and simply love doing what we do. Yes, it can be a lot of hard work, but when we see the outcome, and the delight of our customers, the pride that we feel reminds us exactly why we do what we do. And do it so well.
